They are starting to brick the front of the house now!

Front porch columns (the top part will be cedar)

Back of house....this is the fireplace beneath the deck (a grill will be installed). I can't wait to have a cookout!!

We're making progress!

This is the tangle of wires at the breaker boxes.

Now we have stone around the foundation

The garage doors have a thicker stone on top

This is the ledge

This is the ONE part of the house where the brick and stone can finally be seen together!

Stone and Ceiling

These are the garage door openings. It will be stone on the lower portion and brick everywhere else.

This is the living room fireplace. It will be covered later with marble. Don't worry- it won't be this mismatched brick! We are having a coffered ceiling and they are already starting the work!

Not a lot to update on

I haven't posted in a while because there isn't much to show! The electrician has been working on switches, outlets, and wiring. I know everyday at 3:30 he thinks, "Oh great....here she comes. What will she have me change today??". The back of the house is almost bricked and they are moving on to the wall beside the garage. Slowly but surely, it's starting to look like a house!!

BRICK!!

The chimney is finished! I crawled out the second story window (in sandals nonetheless) to get this shot!
They have also started bricking the back of the house.

We'll be able to heat and cool our house with these things!!

This is the outdoor fireplace below the deck. We will have a grill installed later! That will make for some fun cookouts!

Here is the view of that same fireplace from the inside. (This basement area will be unfinished for a long time)

The electrician is beginning to wire us up! We also have the boxes for switches and outlets (mainly) put in.

Seth has been researching a/c and heating options. Now they are installing the air ducts. These pictures are from the attic.
