We added a copper top to the chimney.
They have tiled the kitchen, laundry room, mudroom, and hallway coming from the garage. Some of the tile is covered by cardboard to keep dirt from tracking in. They also painted the wall and beaded paneling. The kitchen is not painted yet, but I'll post those pictures once it is.
The upstairs bedrooms (kids' rooms) are both painted the same color (Boring Beige) since we don't know what colors they'll be. Guess what color the carpet will be?

Sorry I haven't posted picture in awhile! There is not a WHOLE lot to share. The crew has been putting crown molding and baseboards up. That does not make for the most interesting pictures, but it certainly makes our interior look great!
The electrician hung our exterior lights. Below is what they look like.
As far as the baby, things are going just fine! I am in Week #18. I feel great and am less tired. I swear, I popped out overnight! People had been asking me daily when I'll start showing. I could tell I had a bump, but I guess others can't tell with my clothes on. However, on Thursday I had at least 6 people tell me that I'm finally showing. I have been getting comments ever since then. Too funny!
We hope everyone is enjoying getting ready for the holidays! We are certainly excited to see family and friends and celebrate the wonderful Christmas season!

Driveway is paved and some tile is down!
Lower driveway is poured! Yay! They'll do the main driveway soon.
Kid's bathroom #1 (That is the closet opening beyond the tub)
Upstairs Guest bathroom
Main Level Guest bath (this is in the hallway near the nursery)
Kid's bathroom #2
Permabase in Kitchen- once the tile comes in they'll start laying it
There's not a lot to report on with Baby Thomas. I went to the doctor on the 17th and the heartbeat was 148. My tests all came back normal (bloodwork and N/T) so that is good. Please continue to keep us in your prayers and we hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Baby Thomas and a House update
Seth and I went to the doctor on Thursday. This time, they did an ultrasound and we got to hear the heartbeat! Normal range is 120-180 and our baby's was 158. The baby was moving all over the place! She was trying to get a certain shot and it was difficult since the baby was so active! She said that the baby had its legs crossed and hand resting on the leg. It's hard to believe something so little can do so much! Amazing.
House News:
Cedar beams on the front porch
Stained coiffured ceiling in living room (not completely finished)
Pecan paneling in dining room (5 ft. up the wall)
The paint color that will eventually be in the dining room
Paneling in the garage

New Addition
Seth and I are thrilled to announce that I am pregnant! I am 12 weeks along. The due date is May 14th! This is by far the best addition to the house that we can add.
We have been to the doctor twice and had two ultrasounds. Everything looks good. When we went last week, the baby moved it's arm. It was amazing to see something so tiny moving around.
Luckily, I have been feeling pretty good- just tired and I no longer like the smell or taste of coffee.
We are not finding out the sex of the baby, so you'll have to stay in suspense just like us! :)
The timing is good. I won't miss too much of the school year and we should be in our house by then.
Please keep us in your prayers during this exciting time!
-Seth and Resa
Seth and I told both our parents a few weeks back. We wore tee shirts to let them know our news. (Emily and Thomas are sporting a Future Cousin shirt)
This will be the nursery. It's on the main level and will later be converted to an office. I can't wait to decorate it!

Lots going on
Over the past 2 weeks, they have been hanging the doors and putting up the trim! The upstairs is finished and they are almost done with the main level.
Additionally, they are landscaping the yard- nothing fancy. They are leveling it out and seeding it. They also marked off where the sidewalk will go and where the shrubbery beds will be.

Paneling
If Seth could have his way, we would have wood on the walls, ceiling, AND floor! Below are pictures of the paneling that's been done....so far....more to come!
This is the coiffured ceiling in the living room. The beams will be stained a darker wood. That's beaded paneling in between.
Sitting Room- white washed paneling
Playroom- white washed paneling again.
Front porch- stone steps and porch floor done!

Interior
The paneling on the master bedroom ceiling is up. This paint is just a primer, but it will be a similar color. The walls will be a tan color. I think it will feel very tranquil. The picture on the top is looking into the bathroom and the one on the bottom is looking into the sitting room. Also noticed the hung doors! :) They will stain them and then take them back down so they don't get messed up. What a process!

Finally moving along again!
This week they finished bricking the front of the house! People have been asking me what we're doing on the front since there was a big gap without brick for so long! We also got our interior doors so they'll start hanging them next week. ALSO, they put the paneling on the roof of the back deck and front porch! Yay!
I think it might be time to mow the lawn.
Front door has a sealer on it
Doors in the garage...waiting to be hung!

Slooooooooooow times
There is not a lot to report on and it's frustrating! We had some (more) holdups with inspections. The temp to perm (for power) was a headache. We have been waiting on our door for months. It started out as "6-8 weeks"...."2 more weeks"....."2 more weeks"...."any day now". It's finally here! Now we can get the remainder of the brick up! Below is a picture of our new door. I am very pleased with it! We'll stain it later.
The interior walls are all primed. I have been working on paint colors. About 6 months ago, I met with an interior designer (just for paint and tile because I am afraid of making a major mistake!). I will use a lot of her suggestions. However, I got samples of paint and put them on the wall. There are some colors that will definitely not be used! They don't look good at all! It's amazing how different a paint swatch looks on the wall! Below are my kitchen samples (cabinet finish, granite, and wall color). My friends at school helped me choose this color!
Hopefully, things will speed up a little. I am getting impatient!

Sheet Rock is complete
Below are pictures of some rooms in our house! It's so much easier to visualize things now! The Sheetrock crew did cover a few of our outlets and cans, but as long as we find them it's not a problem! I just hope we found all the mistakes!
Dining Room- We are doing beaded paneling 5 ft. up the wall.
Master Bedroom/Sitting Room- the sitting room will have paneling the entire way up the wall (not 70s paneling!!)

Exterior paint and insulation
We finally have some changes to report! They painted the exterior trim, stained the shingles, and put insulation inside the house. We still have some brick missing on the front of the house. We are waiting on the front door frame to come in. Once it comes, we will finish the remaining brick. Waiting, waiting, waiting......this is becoming a very familiar feeling.
