Halloween Festivities 2016

Never take your kids to Lowes in October

We went to Stone Mountain to hear Ghost Stories

Such a fun evening! There were 5 story tellers telling ghost stories (more like folk tales), but they weren't scary. We even bought a CD and Adelyn loves to listen to them.

We took our annual trip to Kinsey Farms to buy our pumpkin

The lady who took this picture for us didn't quite get us all in :)
They HAD to have these baby pumpkins (that they thought resembled ice cream cones)

Seth's aunt goes all out with her Halloween decorations. She always has everyone to her house and the kids wear their costumes. These are not their real costumes. James has had the Captain America costume of a couple of years and Adelyn was coming from a Monster High birthday party where the girls each got to keep a costume.

James's class visited the church pumpkin patch, did a little craft, and heard a story

Adelyn's school had a trunk or treat

The Siemon's hosted a pumpkin carving party. Adelyn got most of the"guts" out

Seth and James cared the pumpkin in a Star Wars design.

All the kids with their carved pumpkins

James's school Halloween parade....

....followed by the classroom party.  A parent made quesadillas that looked like pumpkins

Afterwards, they played games

On Halloween night, James wanted to go to the Dark Side

We went to the Abernathy's for pizza and trick or treating

Myles and James

Tatem and Adelyn

My sister in law happened to have a Cleopatra costume and let me borrow it. Adelyn was MORTIFIED and would barely take 1 picture with her mom in a matching costume.
Seth and I with Kylo Ren and an Egyptian princess

The Abernathys

Wine in a solo cup was our "treat"

Seth's 40th and a trip to New Orleans

My honey turned 40 on October 3rd!

His last race of the season was at Road Atlanta on Friday September 29th. My parents came in town and we went to The Blue Bicycle to celebrate Seth's and my dad's birthday.
The kids love the fan walk!
Seth with his sister and mom
Seth with his co-driver Dan and car chief Rich. Seth and Dan are not returning to Bimmerworld next year. He's been with this team for 12 years!
Birthday pie in the face!
Dan and his wife Crystal were in town until Saturday. Friday night we went out for Seth's birthday to The Oak (with his parents too)
Monday 10/3 was his actual birthday. The kids gave him an etched Star Wars tumbler
We had his parents over for dinner (veal parmesan and a Reeces pie)
I had an Oktoberfest party planned for him and just before I was sending invitations, Seth said he'd rather take a trip. So, we went to New Orleans with Sam and Josie October 20-22. We stayed at The Roosevelt and it was such a cool hotel!
We all dug into some oysters!
Josie and I bought these masks "for the girls" but wore them ourselves the bulk of the evening.
(at Pat O'Briens)
On Saturday we had the most delicious brunch at Fleur de Lis. Check out my bloody mary!
Then we went to the WWII Museum. It was massive! We spent almost 4 hours there. That was a little much for me, but Seth loved it and it's his birthday
We went back to the same oyster place that we did Friday!
That night we ate at Galatoires. This was a great restaurant, even though it was on Bourbon Street
After dinner drinks at the hotel
Such a fun weekend celebrating Seth!
